Squaredle Express

A daily 3×3 word puzzle - the quicker, more compact version of Squaredle. Same engaging gameplay, but in a smaller grid for faster completion!

How to Play Squaredle Express

Basic Rules

Goal: Find as many words as possible in the 3×3 letter grid

Minimum length: Words must be at least 3 letters long

Letter connection: Connect adjacent letters (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally)

Letter usage: Each letter can only be used once per word

How to Form Words

Desktop (Mouse)

  1. Click and drag: Click on the first letter and drag to adjacent letters
  2. Path creation: You'll see a line connecting your selected letters
  3. Release to submit: Release the mouse button to submit the word
  4. Backtrack: Move back to a previous letter to undo your last selection

Mobile (Touch)

  1. Touch and drag: Touch the first letter and drag your finger to adjacent letters
  2. Visual feedback: Selected letters will highlight with connecting lines
  3. Lift to submit: Lift your finger to submit the word
  4. Smooth movement: Drag smoothly between adjacent letters

In a 3×3 grid, each letter can connect to its neighbors:

Game Progress

Progress Bar

  • Stars fill up as you find more words
  • Left number shows words you've found
  • Right number shows total words available
  • Progress is saved automatically

Words Found

  • Words are organized by length (3-letters, 4-letters, etc.)
  • Found words appear in alphabetical order within each category
  • Bonus words have a yellow background
  • Regular answers have a gray background

  • Start with common 3-letter words
  • Look for word endings like -ING, -ED, -ER
  • Try reversing words you've found
  • Focus on vowel-rich areas

Advanced Tips

  • Use the center letter - it connects to all others
